About the Job

Opal Dupree built a legacy — and she knows it. The matriarch of the Dupree family, Opal is the force behind a generations-long acting dynasty. Sharp, commanding, and deeply proud, she’s spent her life shaping careers and controlling the narrative. Now older and wheelchair-bound, her body may be failing her — but her mind still flashes with the woman she was. At times she’s sharp and cutting, at times confused and disoriented. The shifts can be sudden. She’s loyal to her family above all else, even when that loyalty comes with control, resentment, or buried bitterness. This is a layered role — strength, vulnerability, history, and unpredictability all living in the same moment. Think: formidable matriarch, fading power, flashes of brilliance. Specs: • Height: 5’0” – 5’6” • Build: Slim to average • Hair: Gray to white (short preferred) Skills/Notes: • Must be comfortable portraying limited mobility (wheelchair use) • Strong dramatic presence — ability to shift between clarity and confusion
