About the Job
We’re looking for everyday Americans with powerful stories of resilience and transformation to share. Your journey might look a lot of different ways — these are just examples: You may have overcome addiction and now help others, You may have spent time in prison and found a new path forward, You may have battled illness and come out stronger, You may have rebuilt your life after loss, divorce, natural disaster, or financial hardship, You may have spent years in the “sandwich generation,” caring for kids and aging parents at the same time, You may have left behind one way of life to start over completely, You may have struggled with mental illness but found healing and support through community and have been able to move forward. We are looking for real stories, not actors to portray these roles. The film explores what connects us as Americans, magnifying our shared ideals while honoring the rich, eccentric differences that compose our national anthem. Please feel free to leave a note with a referral if you know someone who would be a good fit for this! Leave a note with a sentence or two about your story. Music will be a unifying theme in this project, so it is a bonus if music plays a part in your life in any way, big or small.
